This is a technology combining Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) with Radio Frequency (RF). This advanced combination proves effective even in cases where other systems fail and is perfect for smaller area’s of hair With our E-LIGHT machine, 8 -10 sessions are usually required to get the desired results. However, clients with lighter hair will expect to undergo more treatments than the standard treatment numbers for darker hair.
Our therapists will advise you on the frequency of treatments throughout your sessions. ( Super Hair Removal) – as opposed to IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) – is the most successful method of long-term hair reduction and you can expect up to 90 percent hair removal in six treatments
SHR combines laser technology and pulse light to achieve almost painless results for the removal of most types of hair and is safe on all skin types. SHR is different from the traditional IPL and laser as it targets the hair germ cells and blood supply that feeds it. Laser Treatment For Acne Reduction
Here at Vanity we can offer you laser treatment as a way of reducing acne spots and redness. Acne is very common and can affect both teenagers and adults alike. Nearly everyone has had acne at some point in their life.
Laser works best for people with mild to moderate acne and is especially suitable for those who have tried the usual treatments with creams and antibiotics with little or no success. Laser treatment is not suitable for severe, cystic, scarring acne. If you have severe acne, you should see your GP or a dermatologist to discuss medication.
We use a 480nm wavelength laser to work with acne. The laser treatment can reduce pustule spots and fade the red marks left behind by the spots but will not remove pits or craters in the skin surface.
( I can recommend micro needling for scars, which I also do)
The first stage of treatment is a consultation and patch test with our laser therpists who will assess your needs.
For best results laser treatments are usually required at 2-week intervals and most people start to see the results after the 1st or 2nd treatment. A course of 12 is recommended for a 72% reduction of spots or a course of 6 week can help reduce acne by 50%.
Aftercare of your skin is very simple, and any redness usually settles within a day or two. Our specialist will advise you on how to look after your skin.
For the maximum benefit of laser treatment for acne a top up once a year is advised.

Laser Tattoo Removal
Vanity tattoo removal is your first step to providing safe and effective laser tattoo removal on the Isle of Wight using the most up to date laser machine . We can treat black, blue, red and green ink tattoos using the Q-Switch System. Unlike salon machines which can only reduce tattoos, our medical laser is powerful enough to fully remove them.
The number of treatments required depends on the size, quality of the inks used and depth. Most tattoos take between 6-10 treatments, but some can take longer for complete removal. The sessions will be spaced approximately 8 weeks apart for the best results. If you are looking for a fade down of the tattoo as you are having a cover up in its place we normally recommend four sessions.
How Does the Nd Yag Laser Work to Remove the Ink ?The laser emits a pulse of light that is preferentially absorbed into certain colours of ink. The light enters the skin at a speed that is too fast to heat the tissues (billionths of a second), instead, it produces a shock wave effect and breaks up the ink particles into smaller pieces, the body then recognises these particles as something that shouldn’t be there and attacks it. The particles are then removed naturally via the body’s own elimination system.

Laser Non Surgical body contouring and Skin Tightening
Radiofrequency body contouring for the body has an excellent track record and offers proven results in reducing fat, contouring curves, and improving cellulite. It is also effective at targeting stretch marks and post-pregnancy scars. It will leave you with firmer, tighter skin.

Laser Thread Vein removal
Thread veins, also referred to as spider veins can appear on the surface of the skin. They can appear blue, purple or red in colour and are thin lines that look a little like a web or branch. They are usually not painful or harmful but can be annoying and affect your confidence when you want to bare your legs, particularly in the summer months. Thread veins are different from varicose veins which are larger and deeper, may appear lumpy or twisted and are usually flesh coloured or red.
What are leg thread veins?
Leg thread veins occur when a valve inside a vein stops working properly. Our veins carry blood to the heart and to stop blood flowing backwards, veins have a one-way valve that closes once the blood has passed through. If the valve is damaged or weakened, it could mean that the blood struggles to flow in the correct direction which then causes a small pool inside the vein. This causes the vein to branch out causing the thread vein.
What is the treatment process and how many sessions will I need?
Depending on the size and number of thread veins, this will differ. Which is why our clients attend a consultation with our our specialist to create an individual treatment plan. Typically recommend to start with a course of 6, however the amount of treatments needed may differ from person to person. Treatments are carried out at 4-week internals.

PROPRIETOR OF VANITY
Starting at the young age of 14 as a salon junior, Charlotte knew the beauty industry
was the career path that she wanted to follow.
Quickly finding her passion once she left school she enrolled in Beauty Therapy at The Royal Leamington Spa College , then undertook further training at private academies across the UK. Charlotte has now over 20 years experience in the Beauty Industry and is still furthering her career with up to date training in advance laser and beauty treatments.
In 2002 , at the age of 17 she moved to the Isle of Wight, working in salons and spas across the Island gaining hands on experience and knowledge until she opened her own salon, Vanity in 2012.
One of Charlotte's future goals was to one day teach beauty therapy and went on to do her PTLLS teaching course at The Isle of Wight College before going on to teach at a private beauty school on the mainland alongside working at her salon.
In 2020 after having her son, she joined CSS Education becoming their educator for the Isle of Wight, and is very excited to pass on her knowledge and skills to the next keen CSS students within Vanity.
In her personal life she suffers from Endometriosis which results in a side effect of acne. Understanding how acne can make a person feel no matter what your age, Charlotte can sympathise with her clients and understands it can be quite daunting, nerve racking and challenging to seek help from a professional.
Over the past 7 years she had decided to specialise in more advanced treatments and has become a Skin Care Specialist and Laser Practitioner also offering Aesthetic Treatments.

Terms and Conditions
Arrival / Late Arrival
Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your treatment time, especially for
new clients as you will be expected to fill in consultation form. If, for whatever
reason, you are late, your treatment time shall be cut short; however, you will still
be liable to the full treatment cost.
Cancellation & Deposits
Cancellation requires 48 hours notice. We understand from
time to time you may forget appointments, but if this happens more than twice,
we shall ask you for a non-refundable upfront full payment of the treatment upon booking
We shall require a 20% non-refundable deposit of treatments upto £100 upon
booking.

The balance being paid on the day of your treatment.
Courses: Courses must be paid for upfront to guarantee the discounted price. If you do
not turn up to your booked session or do not give us 48 hours notice
which is required, your booked session shall be terminated. No refunds will be given at any point.
Booking your treatments: We at Vanity try our up most to insure that you get the
booking time you require. But from time to time, especially the height of the
summer season and Christmas, this is not always possible. Please pre-book your
appointment as far in advance as possible to avoid disappointment.
Gift Vouchers: Gift Vouchers are valid from the date it was purchased to the end
of the 3rd month, and shall not be extended or used after the expiry date.
Vouchers can be changed to a different treatment and can be used as part
payment. Change shall be given in voucher form.
Salon Etiquette: Please have respect for others in the salon. We request that
mobile devices are either switched off or turned to silent. Will clients please
respect the tranquillity and surroundings and refrain from bringing children under
16 years of age unless prior arrangements have been made.
